We have been writing new studies monthly for 6 years here at Faith that Speaks. Six years has flown by! In that time, we have studied what the Bible has to say about many things, from relationships to cultural issues. We've studied several books of the Bible too, and we have loved it.  It has always been the vision to meet you at the intersection of faith and culture, and in 2025, we are going to change things up by helping you cultivate a daily habit of being in God's Word. Rather than doing a deep dive on a few topics or passages this year, we're going to read through the entire Bible in chronological fashion and journal what the Holy Spirit teaches us along the way.

Developing a Bible reading routine is critical to spiritual growth, but most Christians struggle to do it. In fact, let me ask you: when was the last time you read through the Bible? Statistics tell us that while the culture is asking critical and life-altering questions, biblical illiteracy among Christians is at an all-time high.

We can change this—and we should—because God’s Word has the answers that our world is looking for. Reading through the Bible is life-changing.

The benefits of regular biblical engagement are amazing. As you read through the Bible, you will:

  • Learn about God: Who He is, what He has done and even what He is going to do!
  • Experience God’s love: reading the Bible will allow you to experience the love of God as you read how much He loves and what He has done to show you His love for creation!
  • Be certain of what God says: There is no reason to wonder what God thinks when He has made Himself clear to us through the pages of the Bible. From the creation of the world to what happens to us when we die, God’s Word has answers. Issues of sex, gender and the preciousness of human life—are just a few of the topics that are addressed with clarity in the Bible. There is no need to
wonder what God thinks about things when He has told us in the Bible.
  • Find Hope: God’s Word offers us hope. The Bible asks—and answers—the biq questions of life. For example, “Why LORD, do you stand far off? Why do you hide Yourself in times of trouble?” (Psalm 10:1, NIV) God is not afraid of our sadness and He is not far off from our struggles. From Job to Joseph, David to Deborah, God demonstrates His love through the real-life accounts that are recorded in the Bible.
  • Grow in Truth: God’s Word is “living and active.” No matter where you are in your spiritual life, reading through the Bible will help you grow in every area of your life, because it contains truth. Knowing what is true is both life-giving and freeing—and as you read God’s Word, you will find freedom, too.

Knowing God's Word will help you as you make daily decisions, too.  I have been teaching women how to apply Scripture to their lives for well over a decade, and there is nothing like committing to reading God's Word regularly. So in 2025, we will be doing this together and building a community of women while we learn to apply the truth of God’s Word where we need it most: at the intersection of faith and culture.

You will learn how to form a life-changing habit of being consistently in the Bible and engage with community of like-minded women—and it will change your life.

Weekly Community Calls will address issues from a biblical point of view, offering timely, relevant answers from God’s Word and support members in prayer. Don’t miss this opportunity to grow in your faith and understanding of God by joining in these brief calls whenever you have the time. (They'll be recorded also!)

Join us as we read through the Bible together, and watch as your faith becomes a faith that speaks of God’s grace, mercy, truth and freedom!
